I don't always think highly of MLS' stat keeping, but this is possibly the coolest thing they've ever done: ALL-TIME BUCK-A-BRAT NIGHT STATISTICS DATE ATTENDANCE BRATS CONSUMED BPP* RATIO * Brats-Per-Person Awesome. This is the kind of cool and obscure thing I really enjoy seeing. But I can't help but notice on the sentence before this table, it says "A total of 331,493 brats have been consumed in the seven-plus year Buck-A-Brat Night history." They must be including the two USA Wednesday games, 2000 vs Costa Rica (24,430) and 2004 vs Jamaica (9,088). Together that's 33,518 people, mutiple that by .942 and add it, and you're pretty close to that total. |

I've only been part of one of those nights, the 7/7/99 DC United 2-1 shootout victory over the Crew.
AJ Wood scored United's goal and I consumed three brats. Mmmmmmm.
If you were a good soccer supporter, you would've eaten 4. It's pathetic that they haven't broken a 1 on the BPP ratio since the opening season. MLS won't be stable until they match that opening year number.
A shitty hotdog at the HDC costs $4.00. However, the glorious bacon wrapped hotdogs sold outside the stadium after matches are $3.00 and people line up for them like it's crack.
Bacon-wrapped hot dogs?
Dude, that totally sounds like crack to me. At the very least, it's meat candy.
Crack would be better for you than those dogs. My worst act as a parent ever was giving one of those to my at the time four year old daughter at the Hollywood Christmas Parade. It haunts me to this day...
