The average of the age averages of the MLS teams is about 27 years, I guess that with the MLS Drafting System and young players are coming through the system to be picked by clubs, this will assure that the players' age averages will go down as well.
The better older players may be moving away to play abroad, like for clubs in European leagues. They do get better salary and also to play in a much more higher level.
I wonder if there are any players who might play this year who were born AFTER April 6, 1996 - the first player born AFTER the birth of MLS to get minutes.

I'd like to see these numbers w/out goalkeepers, as GK age/outfield age is sort of apples to oranges
