US Open Cup resumes



Third round is tonight. I'll be rooting for the lower league teams, especially Des Moines against the Wizards. Now, here's a fitting thing to post: the top ten MLS goalscorers for the Open Cup. By that I mean I'm counting only goals scored for MLS teams. I should note that the guys from 2000-2001 were helped because for those two years MLS entered in the round of 32, creating some big mismatches.

Hmmm, I wonder what the list would look like, if opened up to goalscorers in all leagues. Even if limited to the years that MLS has existed.

Would we see Roy Lassiter up there?

Or the guy who scored four goals for Minnesota last night?
