MLS Lineup Database

Download Here

Here it is, finally. I put a lot of work into this. There are 16 files, one for each team, plus overall stats and notes. It contains the results, lineups, and goalscorers for every official game that every MLS team has played in. Plus, stats on the total number of appearances (sorted into starts/subs) and goals for each player. And there's the overall records for each team. Just a ton of info that any hardcore MLS fan needs. Check it out.

EDIT: This is Version 1.1 (12/02/05), which fixes a couple of mistakes.

EDIT2: A couple more small things have been fixed (3/27/06).

EDIT3: Uploaded it again due to another small mistake, see comments. I've been doing that every time I notice something wrong (4/17/06).

Your "H? "for Metro open cup games... 1997 was @ Long Island, that's a road game, 1999 was @ Rutgers, which is a home game, so you got them both marked right.

Ok, mistake #1... Mike Magee has 22 subs, not 12; you're missing his 10 subs in 2003.

Mistake #2 (that said, this helped me find a bunch of mistakes in my database...): you're missing a Birahim Diop sub appearance in Merconorte game on 10/31/01: http://conmebol.com/competiciones_evento_reporte.jsp?evento=1092&ano=2001&dv=A&flt=B&id=42&slangab=S

I distinctly remember him playing in that game too.

Can you add attendance for those games? Thanks for all your hard work.

I don't know how much I'll update it until next year, but I'll probably add attendances then.

I just realized that for the KC file, I didn't include their 2005 Champions Cup games on their "record" tab.

Thanks for the new version. A comment -- you have Jaime Moreno with 11 playoff goals. MLSnet has 12. - jlo

You're right. I had Diaz Arce with 3 playoff goals for 1997, and Moreno with 2, when actually they should be reversed. Now I have to upload it again...

Blogger scaryice said ... (12:26 AM, April 17, 2006) :

Realized that Nowak should have 20 playoff starts. I had given one of his to Kovalenko by accident (but only on the overall stats tab, both on the CHI and OVERALL files). It's corrected now.

Blogger scaryice said ... (11:26 PM, April 19, 2006) :

In the COL file, the 2005 playoff record should be "0-1-2" instead of "0-2-1."

Uploaded it once again to reflect that change. I've also renamed the MET file to NY.

Blogger scaryice said ... (5:45 AM, April 21, 2006) :

KC-2004 tab, Open Cup QF should be a 4-0 win over Dallas, not 4-2.

CLB-1999 tab, Open Cup QF should be a 3-1 win over LA, not 3-0.

Blogger scaryice said ... (6:00 AM, April 26, 2006) :

SJ-Records tab, 1999 and 2000 Open Cup records are switched.

1999 should be 0-0-0, while 2000 should be 2-1-0.

OVERALL-Nidal Baba is counted as the same person as his brother Imad Baba. Nidal made 3 appearances for the Metros in 1996.
