Josh Williams is MLS Player #1,498
Now two away from the 1,500 milestone as the Crew defender debuts in the CCL game at Municipal. He follows DC's Junior Carreira, who debuted over the weekend. This includes all competitions, and only those who've actually got into a game in a competitive match. Who's next? Pat Onstad's questionable injury status may mean the debut of Dynamo academy product Tyler Deric in goal this Saturday. That would leave us one away, and there aren't any other obvious candidates. KC's Nikos Kounenakis and Philly's J.T. Noone are two of them, though neither has made the bench in recent games. There's also several academy products, and once teams drop out of contention, we could see them used. And don't forget about pool goalkeepers; it would really amuse me if one of them ended up with this title. Closing in on 1,500
