Open Cup 2007 Primer

As if there wasn't enough soccer to be concerned with at the moment, the 2007 US Open Cup officially kicks off its round of 16 tonight, with 8 MLS teams joining the party. Dallas will take the Atlanta Silverbacks tonight, with four more games on Tuesday and the rest to follow, finishing with Seattle vs Chivas on 7/18.

So it's time once again to take a comprehensive look at the US Open Cup statistics for MLS teams, provided below. All stats are for MLS teams only, and this year's "qualification" matches are not included in the total. They were not part of the tournament proper.

Be sure to check out usopencup.com for great coverage.
