Home Field Advantage in the Hex
There's no shame in losing to Costa Rica. A draw would've been nice, but a win? It's really difficult to come by away from home. Just to show you how hard it is, here's how home teams have performed over the past four hexes (W-L-D): 1998: 15-2-13 2002: 14-10-6 2006: 20-6-4 2010: 7-0-3 (so far) Total: 56-18-26 There have only been 18 away wins in 100 games. The top three teams (USA, Mexico, Costa Rica) each have only one home loss in that total. Home Field Advantage (measured by PPG)
